The item fits as described, but the slot is too shallow to accept a coin, or screwdriver to open.You have to open it with the provider key. That may be good for some, as a security deterrent, but I like to use a car key to open it and not have to jump in and out of the boat to retrieve the gas cap key.The one that replaced had a deeper slot, that would allow a coin, key or screwdriver to open in lieu of the provided key tool.

I returned it because the the pitch did not match my older boat. Nice quality... wished it had fit.

great quality and the description was excellent, for some reason the fitting fell in and the threads would not engage. Needed just a bit larger.
