This mattress protector is definitely worth buying! It was as advertised being breathable, thick, comfortable & soft! It’s very easy to clean as well. Protects mattress from accidents. I didn't feel my matress wet after my 3 year old had an accident while sleeping. It was a bit trucky to wash and dry. After getting it our the dryer I did have to open it for a few hours because I felt it was still wet. Doesn't feel uncomfortable or hot while sleeping. Fits my 12" matress perfectly. Easy to put on the matress. It has the perfect thickness to not let the matresss get wet, we were definitely wet though after the accident. Would recommend.

Fits the bed and soft. I sleep warm and this did not make me warm at night. We purchased to keep beds clean due to pets and guests.

I really just love how easy this cover is to place on my mattress. It has stayed secure even with my 1 year old pup jumping and rolling around on the bed. Other covers just have little corner straps that barely work. But way it wraps around the corners of the mattress definitely succeed at keeping it in place. I was hesitant about the material in the beginning but I really can't tell its there when I lay down. I haven't found any stains reaching the mattress so I am happy about that. I would say that its definitely worth the price.

So far so good! This mattress protector has washed up easily and seems to be durable. There is no discomfort or noise from it being under our sheets. I only docked a star because it seems to pull up easy on the sides of the mattress after each nights rest. I’m having to continually pull the corners back down. I will have to order sheet straps to help with this issue. Overall very happy with purchase.

I got my first utopia bamboo mattress pad a few years ago. They work so great, and are so comfortable, that I've ordered more for every bed in our house. They are effective, hold up well in the washer and dryer, so I'm not sure if the reviews saying they aren't blocking liquids or washing well are following the cleaning instructions, as I've never had those problems with them. I would note that the skirt of the pad is not waterproof, so if something spills down the sides of your bed, it won't protect that part from spills, but neither will just about any other waterproof mattress pad on the market that I've seen to date. I first got the mattress pads for our toddlers bed while potty training. They held up great and protected the mattress, and have held up through many wash cycles. Every one that we have gotten are still in great shape. My favorite aspect of these, are that you don't feel like you are laying on a waterproof mattress pad. There is no crinkling of plastic when you move, you don't sweat like a pig from them, they are still breathable without losing the waterproof effect. They are so comfortable under the fitted sheets, that you don't realize they are there. Additionally, other waterproof mattress pads that I've had that were high end (expensive), had a rubber layer that would end up coming off over time in the washer and dryer. I wash these utopia mattress pads in our front-loading washing machine (no agitator to tear them up) on the heavy duty cycle (to get the most water out during the spin cycle), and dry on ultra low heat, and they have lasted literally for years of use for us. I'm on here once again, buying more for my daughter to take for her dorm room when she goes to college this fall. Definitely recommend them to anybody looking to protect their mattress from spills and accidents while maintaining comfort, breathability, and durability. Also, they have very deep pockets, so they fit mattresses that are are very thick - the king size pad fits our thick tempurpedic memory foam mattress without a problem.

I really like this mattress pad. My only criticism is that the Bamboo markings and advertising give the impression that it is 100% (or at least mostly) bamboo, but looking more closely at the Amazon description, and the label on the pad, it is 80% polyester, and just 20% bamboo viscose. Viscose (related to rayon) is made by dissolving the bamboo then chemically processing the solution to produce the viscose fibres. Viscose is not as "natural" as cotton or wool where plant/animal fibres are cleaned then directly spun into threads that are woven into fabrics, but viscose begins with bamboo rather than petrochemicals that are the source material for synthetic fibres like polyester. Viscose is not considered a plastic. It is made from plant based cellulose (in this case bamboo) and it biodegrades quickly (often faster than cotton). Polyester is a plastic, so this bamboo mattress cover contains 20% less plastic compared with the comparable polyester version. Bamboo grows very quickly so it is considered more environmentally friendly than wood. This pad is excellent value. The top quilting is soft. The waterproof coating on the underside is silent. The quilting is plush enough that it doesn't feel like sleeping on something that is waterproof. If I hadn't seen the coating on the bottom and read that this was waterproof I would not have known. It feels just like sleeping on my old non-waterproof quilted polyester mattress pad. Large deep sides make this really easy to slip onto the mattress. Some might think it fits a bit loose. That's because it it fits thick mattresses so there is a lot of material on the sides. In the old days matresses were similar in thickness so fitted sheets and mattress pads could fit tightly. This mattress pad may seem to fit loosely on a thin mattress. The elastic and the fact that a lot of the side fabric is folded under the mattress ensures that the pad stays in place. Just smooth out the top before putting on the bottom sheet. I have used coated fabric in outdoor clothing for decades. I expect that this "waterproof" coating is probably quite waterproof when new, but that it will gradually wear out with time from being slept on, from washing/drying, and from natural aging of the coating. When you move in bed the sheets and this pad slide against each other and against the mattress which produces a bit of wear. Washing and tumble drying cause the coating to rub against fabric a lot more which will cause a lot more wear. In addition, coatings like this age due to exposure to the environment, including oxygen, body secretions/fluids, sunlight (if you dry it on a clothesline make the coating face away from the sun and don't leave it out longer than necessary). For me, this is ok. I got this mattress pad for my senior cat so I don't need this to remain waterproof for too many years. I expect that it will remain a decent mattress pad long after the waterproof coating is no longer reliable. As someone else noted, the marking on the pad will show through some sheets, particularly white ones. Given that this is only 20% bamboo, if the markings are a problem I'd just buy the polyester version.

Delivery was quick, I have exact same cover on a twin and we love it. Unfortunately, I didnt end up keeping cal king size as my parents got me a different kind.
