Read the entire book, and answered all the questions in all 11 chapters. Learned a lot about language acquisition. Worth the $190 spent... but I will be reselling it back to amazon for $150 since I don't need the book anymore. :)

Great in-depth reference text
I bought this text for research purposes, to have as a reference. I think it's probably a good reference for graduate students and even experienced researchers. It may not be the best reference, however for clinicians/teachers/speech-language pathologists who want a practical reference for child language development. It is very, very dense and perhaps too theoretical for those purposes. One thing I particularly liked about this text was that it included a bit more than I've seen in other books about school-aged language, particularly at the discourse level.

The paper is a bit thin so it rips easily with post it notes and the pages are all black and white (makes readings a bit bland and difficult) but the price was affordable and ideal. Took 3 weeks to ship which expected since it was in September.
